Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) walkthrough
FIZ brings together industrial-zone operators, machinery, production inputs, subcontracting, wastage, finished goods, approvals and analytics. The UI uses dedicated fiz procedures for operator, machinery, production, subcontract and wastage data; route-specific support still varies, so verify each page’s query or mutation.
Key routes
- FIZ overview
Entry point for industrial-zone activities.
- Operators
Browse FIZ operators.
- Raw materials
Review raw-material intake and use routes.
- Production inputs
Review production input records.
- Machinery
Browse machinery and registration flows.
- Finished goods
Review finished-goods status.
- Approvals
Review FIZ approval routes.
- Analytics
Review FIZ metrics.
Prerequisites and seed data
- Sign in with the tenant that owns the FIZ operator and production records.
- Create or seed operator, machinery, production, subcontract or wastage records before expecting lists and analytics to populate.
- Keep source references, quantities and approved production/zone evidence available when entering material movements.
Primary workflows
Set up an operator
Create or inspect an operator before linking industrial operations to it.
- Open the operator list and inspect existing tenant records. Operators
- Use the new-operator route to register a record when authorized. New operator
- Select an operator from the list to inspect its detail. Operators
Track production material
Follow the input, production, and outcome routes to check the data available for an operational period.
- Review raw-material records for the input stream. Raw materials
- Open production inputs to inspect scheduled or recorded material usage. Production inputs
- Review finished goods and wastage to reconcile output and loss. Finished goods
Review controlled changes
Check approval and analytical views after machinery, subcontracting or production changes.
Concepts
- Operator
- A business/operator record associated with FIZ activity.
- Production input
- Material or resource used in production; in this UI, production procedures back related records.
- Subcontracting
- A production activity involving work performed by another party under the applicable controls.
- Wastage
- Production material loss or disposal recorded for operational control and reconciliation.
Data sources and implementation status
- The FIZ pages call trpc.fiz.operators, machinery, production, subcontract and wastage list/byId/create/update/delete procedures where implemented.
- The backend mounts these routers through backend/src/trpc/trpc.router.ts; implementation files live under backend/src/fiz/.
- The overview/finished-goods/approval/analytics routes may compose views over those resources; confirm each component’s actual query rather than assuming a dedicated API.
Permissions
- The API context can derive tenantId from a bearer token. Check each FIZ procedure for requireAuth/requireTenant; the shared CRUD helper does not enforce either guard itself.
- The schema’s GlobalRole values do not by themselves establish which role may approve or edit FIZ records; procedure authorization is authoritative.
- Industrial-zone material and customs records should be entered and approved by personnel with organization-granted authority.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Check | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| A FIZ list is empty. | Confirm the active tenant and seed the matching resource using the corresponding create flow. | app/(app)/fiz/_components/FizRouteViews.tsx and backend/src/fiz/ |
| An operator, machinery or production detail cannot load. | Use an ID from the corresponding list and check for a byId query on that resource router. | app/(app)/fiz/ |
| Metrics do not match production records. | Check which resources the analytics component queries and compare its tenant scope and reporting interval. | app/(app)/fiz/analytics/ |
